PoliticsPoland-Ukraine dispute looms over plans to honor UPA leader
Poland condemned Lviv Oblast authorities’ plans to honor the wartime Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and its military leader Roman Shukhevych. Ukraine’s foreign ministry said the move undermines efforts to improve bilateral ties, amid lasting disagreement over the UPA and the Volyn massacres.
