WorldRussia’s Supreme Court lets father keep daughter taken to Russia without permission, citing France’s ‘unfriendly’ status and NATO membership

Russia’s Supreme Court ruled that Alexey Yermakov need not return his daughter to her mother, Veronika Tishkova, in France after taking the child to Russia without permission. The court said the girl had settled in Russia and could be harmed by moving, citing her Russian citizenship and France’s “unfriendly” status and NATO and EU membership. Tishkova challenged the ruling, which is under review by the court’s Presidium.
