Self-taught London-based contemporary artist Amadeo Carvalho places Black identity, memory and heritage at the center of his work. Combining painting, poetry and photography, he explores the stories, silences and connections that shape who people are. This weekend, his collection “Portraits of Absence” will be shown at the AKAA Art Fair in Paris by curatorial platform Casa Vicência.
