Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said companies from Russia and China may reach commercial agreements on the Power of Baikal gas pipeline by the end of 2026. The project, formerly called Power of Siberia 2, was renamed to distinguish it from the other pipeline and highlight the region along its route, which will follow Lake Baikal’s southern shore.
