Local authorities say more than 50,000 migratory waterbirds have passed through Qilihai Wetland in Tianjin’s Ninghe District during peak migration season. Monitoring also recorded protected oriental storks, white-naped cranes and Eurasian spoonbills. The wetland continues restoration and monitoring work to limit human disturbance.
