TechDeepSeek open-sources tool to cut AI costs in ‘fight’ with closed-source rivals

Chinese AI start-up DeepSeek has fully open-sourced an in-house framework intended to run AI models efficiently. Released on Tuesday, DeepInfer is designed to support DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash on Nvidia SM100 Blackwell GPUs and Huawei devices. A senior researcher described the widening divide between open-source and closed-source AI as a battle between “light and darkness”.
