China has issued guidelines to promote the use of AI and other advanced technologies in commerce, aiming to upgrade consumption and improve distribution efficiency. Jointly released by nine government departments, including the Ministry of Commerce, the guidelines set out 18 measures across goods and services consumption, distribution, innovative business applications and policy support.
