TechInternet on high alert after discovery of eight compromised TLS certificates

Security personnel raised the alarm after finding eight TLS certificates with weak private keys that could let anyone create browser- and app-trusted credentials for any website. Browser makers and some major apps and programming languages have blocked the intermediate certificates, with no reported evidence of malicious use. Updating other systems, including Linux distributions and IoT devices, could be difficult and slow. The certificates belong to India-based eMudhra Limited.
