EconomySeverstal raises steel and pig iron output by 2% in first nine months
Severstal said steel production rose 2% year on year to 8.24 million tons in January-September 2026, while pig iron output also grew 2%, to 8.47 million tons. Metal product sales were nearly flat at 8.26 million tons. Third-quarter sales fell 9% as semi-finished products were redirected to finished-goods production, increasing inventories.
