Domestically developed innovative medicines accounted for 80% of new drug approvals in China during the first three quarters of 2026, a Tuesday press conference said. Wang Weiming, chief engineer at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said research had made breakthroughs in several disease areas, including cancer and rare diseases.
