TechHackers breach AI coding tool OpenCode, running up charges on users’ AI accounts

Open-source AI coding agent OpenCode, a popular alternative to Claude Code and Cursor, was partly breached online. Hackers stole some users’ API keys, while the AI tools OpenCode turned to for help repeatedly refused to inspect the malicious code.
