Russia’s Finance Ministry is waiting for the Industry and Trade Ministry’s position on a possible excise duty on imported steel, Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Sazanov said. The position will inform whether tax-code amendments are needed for the bill’s second reading. The proposed duty would be calculated based on the characteristics of finished metallurgical products made using liquid steel.
