Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica, and Vodafone have signed a letter of intent and are considering a joint spectrum bid for European direct-to-device satellite services to compete with SpaceX’s Starlink. The carriers would build the ground infrastructure, while a satellite partner yet to be selected would supply the constellation.
