PoliticsUS set to extend protection for more than 100,000 Ukrainians

The U.S. is expected to extend Temporary Protected Status for 100,000 Ukrainian refugees beyond its Oct. 19 expiration date, CNN reported, citing a Homeland Security spokesperson. The spokesperson said an official announcement would come in due course and that people covered by the status are safe to remain in the country.
