WorldNATO jets scramble after drone explodes in Lithuanian airspace

An unidentified object, likely a drone, entered Lithuanian airspace and exploded on Oct. 18, sending residents to shelters and damaging a civilian vehicle; no one was hurt. NATO jets responded but could not identify it in cloudy conditions and did not try to shoot it down. Ukraine said Russian electronic warfare may have diverted a Ukrainian drone, while Poland said its radar did not confirm a border crossing.
