Bahrain’s foreign minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani said the GCC expects Russia to use its ties with Iran to encourage Tehran to comply with UN Security Council resolutions and back Arab states’ participation in talks on Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. He thanked Moscow for its coordination at the Security Council and said he hoped it would support a Saudi draft resolution aimed at protecting civilians and halting Houthi attacks and their funding and arms supplies.
