WorldLavrov meets Saudi foreign minister in Bahrain
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is meeting Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud during the ministerial session of the ninth Russia-GCC strategic dialogue in Bahrain. They met in Moscow in September to discuss escalating Middle East tensions, including the worsening conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis. Saudi Arabia backed a political solution while reserving the right to self-defense; Lavrov called Houthi attacks on Saudi civilian sites unacceptable and their course counterproductive.
