CultureRare pink diamond goes on display in France a century after amateur theft

The nine-carat, pear-shaped Grand Condé diamond will be exhibited at the Condé Museum in the Château de Chantilly until 3 January. Stolen from the château in October 1926, it was hidden in a hollowed-out apple and recovered weeks later.
