The FDA is advancing a plan to ease access to unproven peptide drugs popular with supporters of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again movement. FDA staff scientists say the drugs have not been adequately studied for safety and efficacy and may cause harm. The agency submitted an interim access policy for White House review; people familiar with the proposal say it could let the FDA decline to enforce restrictions on some peptides.
