Putin said establishing a security zone would not be included in any potential peace talks with Ukraine. He said Russian forces were tasked with driving the enemy from Russian territory after Ukraine’s incursion into Kursk Region and with creating the zone, a mission he said was being successfully carried out to ensure future security along Russia’s border.
