WorldDivision in Lebanon over explosives seized from Hezbollah
Lebanese security forces stopped a minivan at the Dahr el-Baydar checkpoint on October 5 and found hundreds of kilos of explosives, including TNT and C-4. Hezbollah said the cargo belonged to it and was intended for use against Israel; political opponents and some analysts fear it could be used in assassinations. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said C-4 had featured in past assassinations, but investigators have not established the shipment’s intended use.
