PoliticsUkraine’s proposed military exemption changes draw criticism from lawmakers and businesses

Ukraine’s Cabinet has approved changes to military exemption rules, but the final regulations have not been adopted or published. Sixty-three lawmakers urged the government to reverse the changes, consult businesses and reconsider a proposed oversight center. Companies warn the revisions could worsen labor shortages. Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said the rules were still being finalized, while acknowledging abuses in the current system.
