India plans to recognize Russian-language proficiency as a professional skill soon, Deputy Secretary Amit Kumar of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said at a Russian-Indian business forum in Kazan. India is also preparing early adaptation programs for students and assessing demand for workers in Russia, particularly in construction, manufacturing and transport.
