TechVeritas expands anti-counterfeit chip to jewelry, trophies and fragrance bottles

Counterfeiting remains a major problem for luxury brands, as counterfeiters improve at copying brand marks and selling “superfakes” as genuine. Startup Veritas aims to verify products with its own chip; it was founded by former Tesla technical employee Luci Holland.
