Russia’s Digital Development Ministry proposed using AI to analyze VPN services and improve efforts to detect and block them, according to a draft national AI plan reported by Kommersant. The plan’s authors said blocking could be 95% effective, but the ministry said the current draft contains no such proposal. Industry sources warned that early AI training could mistakenly block legitimate traffic.
