SocietyElizabeth Struhs child protection case not prioritised because of workload, inquest hears

A Queensland inquest heard that the case worker assigned to Elizabeth Struhs did not prioritise or intensively manage her case because she was very busy. The worker said she may have been influenced by the Struhs family’s “upper class” home and placed cases she considered more immediately risky first. Elizabeth died in 2022 after her parents denied her insulin.
