TechDJI Dock 4 wins praise overseas, but US market remains closed

DJI released Dock 4 on Wednesday, describing it as its first automated battery-swap drone dock. The system changes batteries in about 25 seconds, and DJI says the Matrice 5TD can relaunch within 45 seconds and fly for up to 59 minutes per sortie. The hardware bundle costs 167,999 yuan, with software, deployment and support extra. Overseas reviewers largely praised the design, though some called it expensive and cautioned that turnaround times may vary. DJI products on the FCC’s Covered List cannot receive US authorization. Dock 4 also works only with the Matrice 5TD, not existing Matrice 4TD fleets.
