TechGoogle is making inline links more prominent in AI responses

Google is updating AI Overviews and AI Mode so inline links appear higher in answers more often. It is also testing relevant links at the top of some responses, expanding carousels for timely articles, and making links more prominent. Google says more than 400 publishers are participating in its News AI pilot.
