WorldCSTO Barrier 2026 exercise participants practice response to dangerous disease outbreak

Military personnel and civilian medical staff worked together in Belarus during the CSTO’s Barrier 2026 exercise, practicing responses to a large-scale outbreak of dangerous infectious disease, including screening, isolation, diagnosis and care. The drills also covered biological threat reconnaissance, disinfection and hazardous waste disposal.
