Nearly 70 legislators from more than 50 countries met in Tianjin to discuss governance, growth, heritage and urban renewal, and visited the city’s port and other sites. Kenya’s National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula said he hoped the new port at Lamu could learn from Tianjin. The delegation also visited a local channel for residents’ input on draft laws and a redeveloped former factory.
