ScienceMicrosoft unveils machine learning tool to improve weather forecasts
Microsoft researchers say their open-source Probabilistic Bias Correction tool can improve forecasts two to six weeks ahead and run on CPUs. Published in Nature, the study found it improved precipitation and temperature forecasts from a leading model by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.
