Pope Leo XIV, 71, is recovering as planned at Rome’s Gemelli hospital after surgery to remove a cancerous growth from his lung. He is walking, eating and receiving respiratory physiotherapy, while blood tests and a chest X-ray showed normal post-operative progress, the Vatican said.
