The United States has imposed sweeping sanctions on the International Criminal Court, escalating the Trump administration’s campaign against it. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington would bar transactions with the court to cut off its resources and undermine its ability to operate. The US argues that the court has no jurisdiction over Americans because the country never joined it.
