Kenya confirmed its first imported Ebola case after a citizen who had lived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo died while being treated in Nairobi. His overland journey through Uganda before flying to Kenya raised questions about how he passed health screenings. Eight relatives and 21 healthcare workers who had contact with him were initially quarantined.
