More than three years of fighting in Sudan have displaced over 13 million people and left about 30 million dependent on humanitarian assistance. The cutoff of urgently needed international aid funding has pushed the fragile health system toward collapse. The war began in 2023 between the Sudanese Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, which the UN has accused of genocide against non-Arab ethnic groups.
