SportsAsian Games 2026: Organisers hail success despite logistical criticism

The Asian Games have ended in Aichi-Nagoya after two weeks of competition involving about 17,000 athletes and officials. Organisers called the event a success despite complaints about unconventional accommodation replacing a traditional Athletes’ Village and transportation problems. Nagoya was also hit by flooding a week before the official opening, with problems continuing afterward.
