WorldGaza families bury 105 people found beneath rubble years after strikes

In Gaza City’s al-Yarmouk area, families have buried the remains of 105 people who lay beneath a collapsed seven-storey building for nearly three years after it was hit during the al-Taj massacre in October 2023. Civil defence teams and Egyptian crews described horrific conditions, with infants among the dead. More than 7,000 people across Gaza are still believed missing under rubble.
