Families in Gaza have buried the remains of 105 Palestinians recovered nearly three years after they were killed in an Israeli attack on Gaza City. The victims died when the seven-storey al-Taj 3 residential building and nearby structures in the al-Yarmouk neighbourhood were destroyed by Israeli air strikes in October 2023. Gaza Civil Defence estimates that about 7,000 people remain trapped under rubble across the Strip, with heavy machinery and international help needed for recovery.
