WorldMalaysia begins repatriating Rohingya refugees to Myanmar despite safety concerns

Malaysia has started repatriating about 1,500 Myanmar nationals believed to be Rohingya, as part of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s pledge to return 5,000 people. The UN and rights groups condemned the move, citing Myanmar’s 2017 military crackdown that displaced 700,000 Rohingya. Activists also warn of growing online harassment targeting the community.
