WorldMore than 10,000 troops deployed as flooding swamps Bangkok

More than 10,000 troops have been sent into Bangkok to help evacuate residents as severe flooding affects all 50 districts, now designated disaster zones. Heavy rain has overwhelmed drainage systems, while temporary shelters are accommodating more than 4,000 displaced people. Residents say promised lessons from the 2011 floods were never fully implemented.
