WorldNepal’s PM calls deadly floods a ‘warning to the world’ on climate disaster

Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah told the UN General Assembly that the deadly floods in Nepal should be seen as a warning to the world about climate disasters. He proposed a Nepal-, India- and China-led Himalayan Climate Resilience Mechanism to share satellite data and expertise, monitor dangerous glacial lakes, improve joint early warnings and coordinate cross-border aid.
