Ukraine launched a massive drone offensive against Moscow and the surrounding region on the final day of Russia’s 2026 parliamentary elections. Russian authorities said more than 1,600 drones had been intercepted since Saturday, including 450 heading toward Moscow. Damage was reported at the Moscow Oil Refinery, residential buildings and other infrastructure; at least two people were killed and others injured, according to Russian authorities.
