At its weekly briefing in Doha, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said the emir discussed bilateral ties and investment with Guyana’s president. The foreign minister also spoke with counterparts from several countries, reaffirming support for diplomatic efforts toward a comprehensive agreement and regional peace, while warning that closing the Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab straits could be catastrophic.
