ScienceMonsoon Rise Expedition: Exclusive look at early deep-sea findings

An expedition jointly led by NUS and billionaire Ray Dalio’s non-profit OceanX has mapped over 6,000 sq km of deep sea and recovered more than 2,000 specimens. Initial results indicate that at least 20 species may be new to science, while researchers say further discoveries could await. The report also examines the technology taking scientists thousands of metres below the surface.
