PoliticsUK declares Israeli occupation unlawful and bans imports from illegal settlements

Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband told the House of Commons that the UK now considers Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories unlawful. In a major policy shift, Britain will ban imports from illegal settlements, act against companies and individuals aiding settlement expansion, prohibit their advertising in the UK and apply a “double lock” to arms sales that materially contribute to such activity.
