WorldFrench legionnaire escapes Colombian captors after four-day trek

A Colombian soldier serving in the French Foreign Legion escaped guerrillas who had held him hostage after walking for four days through rebel-held territory. Jose Olger Melo Charry was abducted on August 6 while travelling along a highway in southwest Colombia by a dissident faction of the defunct FARC guerrilla group.
