WorldJD Vance says US-Iran conflict is not a 'war' despite strikes

US Vice President JD Vance says the escalating conflict with Iran does not amount to a “war”, despite recent US retaliatory strikes and reports of civilian deaths. He says Washington is investigating Iran’s claim that a US strike hit a wedding party, while expressing doubt about Iranian state-media reports. The White House says talks remain possible if Tehran stops attacks on commercial shipping in the region.
