CultureBeastie Boys' Mike D releases first solo LP, 'Thank You'

Mike D, who rose to fame with New York rap-rock trio the Beastie Boys in the 1980s, has released his first solo LP, “Thank You.” The band moved beyond frat-boy humour toward beat-making, sampling and studio experimentation, building a three-decade career as genre-bending musicians.
