US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov on the sidelines of the G20 gathering in Asheville, North Carolina. It was Siluanov’s first in-person attendance at a G20 meeting since President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in 2022. Separately, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged Putin to end the war in Ukraine during a meeting in Kyrgyzstan.
