The death toll from last week’s flash floods along the Nepal-China border has reached 955, according to authorities in both countries. Nepal has made the search for workers who may be trapped inside hydropower tunnels its “highest priority,” with more than 900 workers missing across various projects. A Nepali army colonel estimated that about 45 to 50 people were inside one tunnel.
